A holistic approach to renovation
to create a new “leash” on life for this existing practice
This existing veterinary hospital had been in practice since the 1970’s. It had two additions to the original house over the years and clearly looked like 3 different practices. The clients’ goal was to completely renovate the hospital to create a holistic and consistent aesthetic throughout. As this practice was already busy, the planning and adjacencies also needed to be reworked to ensure the hospital operated at peak efficiency. Just to complicate the process a bit more, the hospital had to stay open during all stages of construction.
While no area was left untouched, some of the new features integrated into the hospital were:
Separate dog and cat waiting areas
Large treatment / prep room with wet and dry treatment tables
Designated lockable dispensary
Designated admin area for offices and meetings
