This was a great interior design project with a lot of design freedom. The client’s only requirement was to create a sophisticated, but casual neighbourhood bar, where people could come together for a relaxed meal and drinks.
The challenge with this project was to create one spacious venue from two smaller tenancies, each on a different level with different ceiling heights. This also included removal of a load bearing wall separating the two tenancies. Space planning had to be carefully considered to best utilise this small space, which included a new commercial kitchen.
This was one of my favourite venues, both to design and build. The result is a welcoming and inviting destination that provides a variety of seating, so the experience never has to be the same. It continues to attract a wide range of patrons both night and day.
